On 8 and 9 August 2026, the church on the Ooidonkdreef in Deinze, close to Ooidonk Castle, became an exhibition space. Artpoint Vlaanderen brought artists together beneath the red-brick arches, and Yelena Bondarenko took part with her abstract landscapes.
Light falling through tall windows
Daylight fell through the tall windows onto the canvases, making the relief of the texture glow differently each time. The church was full all weekend: walkers from the Ooidonkdreef, regular Artpoint visitors and new faces who stepped in out of curiosity. Yelena was there on both days and happily talked with everyone.
A special place, a warm audience and lots of happy reactions – that is how this weekend will be remembered. Many thanks to Artpoint Vlaanderen and to everyone who found their way to Ooidonk.
