On 13 and 14 June 2026, Artpoint Vlaanderen settled into Kasteel van Poeke in Aalter, a moated castle surrounded by water and greenery. Yelena Bondarenko exhibited her work among stucco ceilings, columns and tall windows.
Contemporary abstraction in a historic interior
The contrast between the classical rooms and the abstract canvases worked surprisingly well. Visitors strolled from room to room, looked, talked and came back for a second look. Plenty of people came to the castle, and the atmosphere stayed relaxed and warm all weekend.
