This weekend, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026, Kasteel De Campagne in Drongen hosts the Open Art Competition Affection 2026, organised by Artpoint Vlaanderen. Yelena Bondarenko is one of the 35 selected artists showing their work.
One work: Streams of Time
Yelena is showing one painting: Streams of Time (2026, 120 × 80 cm, acrylic and structure paste on linen). In earth tones – brown, beige and green – vertical streams of texture run across the canvas, as if hidden forces were awakening from the depths. The work is about nature and the passing of time, and invites you to pause for a moment.
In the bright hall of the castle, the relief of the structure paste really comes into its own: up close you can see how each layer creates its own play of light and shadow.
The earth embraces time with gentle hands,
Where colours flow like a forgotten song,
Earth tones whisper secrets of the days,
The horizon melds with the sighing air.
