Yelena presents her latest collection of abstract artworks during this exhibition. As in her entire body of work, nature, light, and silence are also central here — themes that invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and feel.
Characteristic of this new series is the combination of acrylic paint and texture paste on linen, with which Yelena creates a fascinating layering and relief. The result is work that not only wants to be seen but also almost touched: textures that capture and hold light, and that show a different face from every angle.
The Old Hospital of Oudenaarde is a story in itself. The exhibition brings art and culture together in a way that gives visitors the opportunity not only to draw inspiration but also to truly engage in dialogue with the works — and with the rich history of the place where they are displayed.
