In "Primordial. Madeira — Born of Fire" Yelena Bondarenko lets a volcanic cone rise from the canvas. Dark flanks in charcoal, brown and rust ochre surround white mist streaming from the crater. Behind them, pale ridges with moss green and a salmon-pink dawn. An ode to Madeira's fiery origin, powerful and timeless in any contemporary interior.

The story
In the first morning light, when the ocean still boiled,
where colours dance and forms embrace,
a mountain rises from fire and ash,
hidden in textures that speak of birth and patience.
Dark flanks, still warm from within,
white breath rising from the crater,
and far away the first green daring to grow,
inviting us to look, to feel, to understand.
This work, more than a landscape,
is a memory of the beginning,
a window to the time before time,
when an island had yet to find its name.
Let yourself be guided by the glow beneath the earth,
by every shade and shadow that touches us,
for here breathes the fire that created Madeira,
captured in a moment, timeless and true.
