"Breath of Winter" by Yelena Bondarenko captures the essence of an icy winter's day with rich texture. The abstract lines and the palette of soft pastels, interspersed with deeper greys and purples, suggest the dynamics and stillness of the season. The work connects the visual splendour of a winter landscape with a sense of introspection and the endless flow of time. A refined addition to any modern interior.

The story
An icy breath moves through the land,
soft pastel under grey skies,
lines like tracks along a frozen edge
where stillness and motion sigh.
A purple shadow, deep and cool,
lies down upon the white silence;
winter knows no haste, no goal,
only crystals growing stiff.
And still, beneath, something moves,
a current flowing through the hush:
time, the season, a quiet wonder
that leaves its breath within the ice.
